Swan 73 overview
The Swan 73 is an all-new 23.67-metre performance cruiser announced by Nautor Swan in 2026. It marks the Finnish builder's return to this size segment and is already under construction in Pietarsaari, with the first yacht scheduled by the builder to touch the water in 2027. Naval architecture is by Germán Frers, exterior styling by Luca Ardizio Design and the interiors are by Blend Studio.
The concept combines a dedicated sailing cockpit aft with separate guest areas, allowing the yacht to preserve proper sail handling without letting working functions dominate life at anchor. Twin helms, winches and control systems are arranged for efficient short-handed sailing, while the stern incorporates a beach-club area, swimming platform and a lazarette intended to accommodate a rigid-keel tender of about 2.8 metres.
Dimensions and sailing specification
Nautor Swan gives an overall length of 23.67 metres, maximum beam of 6.12 metres and light displacement of 38.8 tonnes. Standard fixed-keel draft is 3.20 metres. An optional telescopic keel varies from approximately 2.80 metres to 4.25 metres, allowing a meaningful change between harbour access and deeper-draft sailing.
Auxiliary power is a Yanmar 4LV195 diesel rated at 195 hp. The published sail plan includes approximately 159.5 square metres of mainsail and 150.2 square metres of jib, reflecting the model's position as a performance cruiser rather than a purely accommodation-led sailing yacht.
Interior approach
Blend Studio's interior concept reinterprets established Swan themes with softer transitions and contemporary materials. The builder offers several recognised Swan décor directions as well as a warmer bespoke treatment using walnut and light-toned fabrics. The objective is to give the 73 the atmosphere and comfort expected near the maxi-yacht boundary while keeping weight and functionality appropriate for sailing.
Luxury Yacht Guide assessment
At 23.67 metres, the Swan 73 sits very close to the upper limit of Luxury Yacht Guide and is one of the most important new sailing models in that band. It is particularly relevant for buyers who want large-yacht comfort but still expect a yacht to be actively sailed, including by a reduced crew. Because the first unit is not yet delivered, specifications should continue to be treated as builder-published project data until construction and sea trials are complete.
