A benchmark Swan One Design racer
The ClubSwan 50 is a 16.74-metre performance sailing yacht conceived around serious One Design competition while retaining enough versatility for sport cruising. Designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, it uses lightweight carbon construction and a powerful sail plan to deliver the responsive character expected from the ClubSwan division. The model also has an established international class structure, giving owners access to organised racing rather than simply an isolated high-performance design.
Designed to switch between crewed racing and simpler sailing
The deck plan is arranged for efficient manoeuvres with a full race crew, but Nautor Swan also developed the controls so the yacht can be managed with fewer people outside competition. Optional cruising equipment and cockpit furnishings broaden its use away from the racecourse. This dual-purpose approach is important for an owner who wants a yacht capable of top-level events without accepting that every non-racing day must feel like sailing a stripped-out grand-prix boat.
A lightweight but usable interior
The interior combines exposed lightweight structure with the finish expected of a Swan. Accommodation can be adapted for racing, including removable elements that create more practical sail and crew space, while cruising configuration provides proper sleeping, galley and saloon facilities. The ClubSwan 50 therefore makes most sense for buyers whose priority is competitive sailing but who still want the option of comfortable weekends and short cruises between events.
