Fountaine Pajot is bringing the FP44 to the 2026 Southampton International Boat Show for its UK debut, giving British buyers their first show opportunity to inspect the 13.26-metre cruising catamaran. The model sits between the FP41 and larger yachts in the renewed Fountaine Pajot sailing range and is designed around long-range family cruising with simplified sail handling.
Southampton's official debut programme describes the FP44 as combining generous space and comfort with easy shorthanded sailing. That positioning is supported by the builder's own specification, which pairs a broad 7.44-metre beam with a deck layout that keeps sail controls close to the helm.
13.26 metres long with a 7.44-metre beam
Fountaine Pajot lists the FP44 at 13.26 metres in hull length, 7.44 metres in overall beam and 1.57 metres of draught. Standard propulsion is twin 30hp diesels, with twin 57hp engines available as an option for owners who want additional reserve power under motor.
Tankage is substantial for the size, with two 300-litre freshwater tanks and two 350-litre diesel tanks. Those figures reinforce the bluewater-cruising brief because range and autonomy depend as much on water, fuel and storage as on the yacht's sail plan.
Three- and four-cabin layouts broaden the ownership options
The FP44 can be configured with three or four cabins, including Maestro arrangements that dedicate substantial space to an owner's suite. Fountaine Pajot also allows parts of the forward owner's area to be configured as a low cabinet, desk, compact additional cabin or workshop-style space.
The saloon and cockpit are designed to work as a connected living area, with a large opening window, central island and service opening intended to reduce the separation between inside and outside. For long stays aboard, that flow can matter more than simply adding another enclosed room.
ODSea+ adds an electric-propulsion option
Like the builder's other new-generation models, the FP44 is available with the ODSea+ electric drivetrain. Fountaine Pajot lists twin 25kW electric motors, a 24kW generator and two 21kWh battery modules as the core package, with hydrogeneration included while sailing.
The system can also be specified with larger 27kWh battery modules, while up to 2,000W of solar generation is available. The practical value will depend on the owner's passage profile, charging opportunities and hotel loads, but the package gives buyers a factory-engineered alternative to conventional diesel propulsion.
Southampton marks the next stage of the FP44 rollout
The FP44 is due on berth M841 at Southampton, where the UK's established Fountaine Pajot dealer network will present the model. Its arrival follows strong early commercial interest in the new-generation range and gives local buyers the chance to inspect the accommodation, helm visibility and deck circulation in person.
