Sirena Yachts is bringing the Sirena 48 to the 2026 Southampton International Boat Show for its UK debut, adding a 16.04-metre semi-displacement motor yacht to the show's mid-size cruising line-up. The model is the entry point to the Sirena range but follows the same emphasis on interior volume, efficient cruising and owner-operated capability as the yard's larger yachts.
The Southampton appearance is especially relevant for buyers who want more accommodation than a conventional sports cruiser of similar length without moving immediately into a much larger crewed yacht. Sirena's three-cabin layout and optional crew cabin are designed to keep that choice open.
16.04 metres overall with a five-metre beam
Sirena lists the 48 at 16.04 metres overall including the swim platform and anchor roller, with a hull length of 13.79 metres and a beam of 5.00 metres. Maximum draught is 1.06 metres, helping preserve access to shallower cruising grounds while the broad beam creates the volume that defines the interior.
Loaded displacement varies with the machinery package, with published figures of 26.74 tonnes on the standard Cummins installation and 28.25 tonnes with the higher-power option. Twin 550hp diesels are standard
Standard propulsion is twin Cummins QSB 6.7 diesels rated at 550hp each, while twin Cummins QSM 11 engines at 670hp are offered as an option. Sirena quotes a 24-knot maximum speed with the standard package and up to 27 knots with the larger engines, subject to loading and sea conditions.
Published cruising speed is 16 knots, while an economy setting of 10 knots gives a quoted range of 477 nautical miles including a 10 per cent fuel reserve. That range figure is more useful to cruising owners than top speed alone because it shows how the semi-displacement hull can be operated differently depending on itinerary and fuel priorities.
Three cabins plus an optional crew space
The standard interior provides three guest cabins with six berths, along with two guest heads. An optional crew cabin and crew head can be added for owners who prefer professional assistance without sacrificing the yacht's ability to be operated privately.
Fuel capacity is 1,900 litres and freshwater capacity 600 litres, supporting longer periods away from a home berth. Those capacities, combined with the wide-beam interior, help explain why Southampton describes the 48 as offering living areas more commonly associated with larger yachts.
