Fountaine Pajot and Dufour brought charter professionals to La Rochelle for the first Charter Days event, giving fleet operators direct access to production facilities, technical workshops and current yacht ranges. The programme took place on February 18 and 19.
Participants toured manufacturing sites and joined sessions covering electronics, energy management, deck hardware and onboard comfort. Suppliers involved included established marine-equipment companies, allowing operators to discuss systems from a fleet-management perspective rather than only as individual buyers.
Why this matters in the luxury-yacht market
Charter fleets place different demands on production yachts from private ownership. High utilisation, rapid turnaround, maintenance access and standardisation can matter as much as interior style, so direct discussion between builders and operators can feed useful information back into future products.
The event also gave newer charter companies a structured way to understand how Fountaine Pajot and Dufour build and support their boats. For existing partners, it created a setting to discuss market trends and longer-term fleet planning away from a public boat show.
What comes next
The first edition establishes a format that could become a recurring part of the builders’ professional-sales programmes. Its value will depend on whether technical feedback from operators is carried into product, service and training decisions.
Luxury Yacht Guide is following this development from official builder information and will update the coverage when further verified specifications, launch details or owner-use information becomes available.
