Itama 54 overview
The Itama 54 expands the Italian builder's open-cruiser range into the 50–59-foot sector with an overall length of 16.44 metres. The first unit was launched in July 2025, and the model combines Itama's established low-profile styling with a noticeably greater emphasis on living space. Exterior styling and interior design are both by Tommaso De Luca.
A key feature is the main-deck arrangement, where the outdoor living area uses a double-cockpit concept with two C-shaped seating groups. The design creates a larger social zone without abandoning the open-yacht format. Forward, a flush sunpad is integrated into the deck, while the raked transom allows a large storage compartment of about 1,800 litres beneath the aft sunpad for water toys and cruising equipment.
Dimensions, engines and speed
The official specification gives a 16.44-metre overall length, 4.73-metre maximum beam and 1.42-metre draft. Standard power is a pair of MAN i6-730 diesels rated at 730 hp each; Itama publishes approximately 33 knots maximum and 28 knots cruising speed for this installation. An optional pair of MAN i6-850 engines raises output to 850 hp per side, with preliminary figures of about 37 knots maximum and 33 knots cruising.
The lower deck contains two cabins and two bathrooms, together with a galley and dinette. An optional crew cabin is also shown in the builder's specification. Full-length side glazing is one of the model's distinguishing exterior details and increases natural light below deck while visually stretching the profile.
Who the Itama 54 is for
The 54 is positioned between compact open day yachts and the larger high-performance Itama models. It provides enough accommodation for proper weekend and short-cruise use while retaining an exterior-led layout. Buyers comparing it with enclosed 50–55-foot sports cruisers should therefore look closely at how much time they expect to spend outdoors and how important weather protection is in their normal cruising area.
