Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage has announced a €550,000 asking-price reduction for TRAMONTANE 2, a 20.45-metre Ice Cat 67 catamaran. The dated brokerage release puts the new asking figure at €2.95 million, VAT paid, compared with €3.5 million previously.
Built by ICE Yachts in 2019, the sailing catamaran combines a carbon-epoxy structure with accommodation conceived for long-distance cruising. Its 9.80-metre beam creates a wide platform for the panoramic saloon and four double guest cabins.
A significant change to the asking price
The broker's 18 September announcement sets out the revised price in euros and explicitly identifies VAT as paid. As with any live brokerage listing, an owner should confirm the current figure and the status of the yacht directly with the central agent before proceeding.
The news follows the yacht's 2024–25 refit, which included fresh sails and interior work. The timing is therefore relevant for buyers seeking a previously used yacht that has undergone recent investment rather than needing to plan every upgrade from the start.
Carbon construction and a performance rig
The hull, superstructure and deck are built in carbon epoxy, with a MAXSPAR carbon mast and boom and Kevlar standing rigging. Incidence Hydranet sails provide the principal sail inventory, with the broker citing 262 square metres upwind and 288 square metres downwind.
Those specifications indicate a performance-led design, although a published sail area cannot by itself establish the speed a particular buyer will experience. Condition, sail handling, load and weather all remain important considerations during a survey and trial.
Accommodation for eight, plus crew
Four double cabins, each with its own bathroom, accommodate up to eight guests, with a separate crew cabin for two. The main saloon has panoramic glazing and an open galley, providing a communal space that is separated from the cabin accommodation in the hulls.
A sheltered cockpit supports dining and relaxing outside, with access forward and a protected helm area. The practical assessment for a buyer will involve both the social spaces and the ease of moving and working aboard while sailing.
Energy equipment supports longer voyages
Solar panels and lithium batteries form part of the electrical package, supported by an Onan generator and Schenker watermaker. The broker describes the combination as a way to reduce dependence on shore facilities during longer passages.
Twin 110hp Yanmar diesels supply auxiliary propulsion, with a quoted motoring range of approximately 1,400 nautical miles. TRAMONTANE 2 remains within LYG's size limit, and the advertised reduction gives buyers a concrete new point of comparison in the 20-metre cruising-catamaran market.
