The GTC combines enclosure with an open-deck feel

The 400 GTC extends its wheelhouse across the full beam, creating a protected interior that can be used in poor weather without turning the boat into a conventional closed cruiser. Large areas of glazing keep the cabin visually connected with the water and exterior decks.

At anchor, fold-down terraces open the sides of the main deck and link directly with the wheelhouse. This gives the model a dual character: enclosed and weather-resistant underway, but much more open when guests are swimming or relaxing in sheltered conditions.

The twin-stepped hull is designed around outboards

Saxdor builds the 400 GTC on a twin-stepped V21-degree hull developed specifically for high-power outboard propulsion. The current specification supports combined engine output from 700 to 850 horsepower, depending on the selected Mercury package.

The builder publishes a broad top-speed range of 35 to 45 knots, reflecting the difference between engine choices and operating conditions. Fuel capacity is 1,000 litres, giving the boat enough reserve for fast coastal use without positioning it as a long-range displacement cruiser.

The model remains visible in the 2026 show programme

Saxdor included the 400 GTC in its Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 display, describing the boat as its all-season option within the 400 family. That continued show presence confirms that the model remains an active commercial product rather than an archived design.

The GTC sits alongside more open GTO and GTS interpretations, giving buyers a choice between weather protection and maximum exterior exposure. This family approach allows Saxdor to reuse a common platform while targeting different cruising climates and ownership styles.

The 12.4m size keeps the model owner-operated

With an overall length of 12.4 metres and a beam of 3.55 metres, the 400 GTC sits near the lower boundary of Luxury Yacht Guide's editorial scope. Its dimensions make owner operation realistic while still providing an enclosed cabin, lower accommodation and substantial social space.

For buyers moving up from smaller day boats, the model provides a step into premium weekending without requiring the crewing and berthing commitments of a much larger yacht. Its appeal is therefore as much operational as stylistic.
