Nimbus positions the 405 Coupé above the smaller 305 and 365 Coupé models, using its extra length to add more accommodation and storage without abandoning the practical Scandinavian design language. The enclosed wheelhouse is intended for owners who cruise beyond fair-weather summer conditions.

At 13.33 metres overall, the boat is still manageable enough for owner operation while offering three cabins and six berths. This gives it a different role from open day boats of similar length, particularly for families planning longer coastal itineraries.

The sidewalk concept simplifies movement on deck

Nimbus uses an asymmetric deck arrangement with a wider starboard side passage, allowing safer movement between the cockpit, helm and foredeck. The idea is to concentrate practical circulation on one side rather than sacrificing interior width to equal walkways around the entire cabin.

A side door beside the helm connects the wheelhouse directly with the deck, which can be useful during docking and short-handed operation. The arrangement reflects Nimbus's emphasis on functional movement and visibility rather than styling the boat purely around symmetrical exterior lines.
