Riva is giving the new 56 Rivale Super its world premiere at Cannes, introducing a 17.27-metre evolution of one of the brand’s established open yachts. The model will also appear at the Genoa International Boat Show in October.

Officina Italiana Design developed the yacht with Ferretti Group’s product and engineering teams. A revised windscreen profile and updated deck treatment aim to modernise the silhouette without removing the styling cues that identify the Rivale family.

Why this matters in the luxury-yacht market

The 56 Rivale Super operates in a market where visual identity is a major part of the purchase decision, but owners also expect practical weekend accommodation and fast coastal performance. A successful restyling therefore has to improve usability without diluting the brand.

At 17.27 metres, the yacht remains compact enough for owner-led Mediterranean use while offering the finish and presence expected from Riva. That combination keeps the model squarely within the premium open-yacht sector covered by Luxury Yacht Guide.

What comes next

Cannes provides the first broad public opportunity to inspect the production design. Genoa will extend that exposure into Riva’s home market shortly afterwards.

Luxury Yacht Guide is following this development from official builder information and will update the coverage when further verified specifications, launch details or owner-use information becomes available.
