Ferretti Yachts is presenting the redesigned 720 at Cannes before taking the model to the Genoa International Boat Show. At 22.5 metres overall, the flybridge yacht sits near the top of Luxury Yacht Guide’s under-24-metre production market.
The new version has a maximum beam of 5.60 metres and develops Ferretti’s “Just Like Home” concept around brighter, more functional interior spaces. Filippo Salvetti contributed the exterior design, with IdeaeItalia responsible for the interiors.
Why this matters in the luxury-yacht market
A redesign of an established model can be more significant commercially than an entirely new name because it affects a known customer base and an existing production platform. Owners can compare the changes directly with the previous generation rather than judging an unfamiliar concept.
Ferretti is using increased natural light, revised layouts and updated styling to keep the 720 competitive in a sector where buyers expect superyacht-style space within a manageable length. The 22.5-metre LOA is central to that proposition.
What comes next
The Cannes and Genoa appearances give buyers the opportunity to inspect the redesigned yacht back-to-back with competing flybridge models. Owner response at these shows will help indicate whether the updates have moved the platform far enough forward.
Luxury Yacht Guide is following this development from official builder information and will update the coverage when further verified specifications, launch details or owner-use information becomes available.
