Foil-assisted performance reaches 40 knots
TURQUOISE was developed as a Pacific cruiser and uses a foil-assisted catamaran hull to combine speed with long-range efficiency. Northrop & Johnson lists a 40-knot top speed, 30-knot cruising speed and a range of about 1,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Power comes from twin MTU 8V 2000 M94 diesels rated at 2,500 hp each. For buyers, the unusual combination of high output and multihull efficiency gives the yacht a wide operating envelope, from fast coastal passages to slower long-range cruising.
A 6.3-metre beam creates substantial living space
The yacht’s 6.3-metre beam allows much of the accommodation to spread across a broad main deck. The helm, saloon and galley share an open-plan arrangement, with the aft-positioned galley serving both the interior and exterior dining spaces.
That layout is particularly effective on a catamaran because the width can be used for social areas without sacrificing circulation. Aft-deck dining, foredeck loungers and a hydraulic swim platform extend the living space further toward the water.
Four cabins provide accommodation for eight
TURQUOISE accommodates eight guests in four cabins. The forward master has an en-suite bathroom, while a port-hull double cabin has its own en-suite and two twin cabins share a bathroom in the starboard hull.
The arrangement gives the yacht genuine family or guest-cruising capability while remaining below 18 metres overall. A tender garage adds dedicated storage and keeps the swim platform available for boarding and waterside use.
Systems are configured for extended cruising
The yacht carries 9,000 litres of fuel and 1,000 litres of fresh water, together with an SRC Aqua Matic watermaker. Other equipment includes Garmin navigation, FLIR M364C night vision, a Max Power bow thruster and a Kohler generator.
For LYG buyers, the listing stands out because it combines speed, range and multihull volume in a size that remains within private-yacht territory. Independent survey and sea trial remain essential, but the specification gives TURQUOISE a distinctive position in the sub-24-metre brokerage market.
