The inboard evolution of the Swan Shadow concept
The Swan OverShadow is a 13-metre luxury power yacht that develops Nautor Swan's Shadow idea into a more protected and accommodation-focused weekender. Designed by Jarkko Jämsén, it shares the performance-oriented hull philosophy of the Swan Shadow but was developed around inboard propulsion and a different distribution of deck space. Nautor has also expanded the concept with an outboard version for markets where that arrangement is preferred.
More space for social use
Moving the primary machinery beneath the aft sunbed allows the deck to devote more space to dining, seating and a wet-bar or galley arrangement. The stern platform retains the multi-position functionality used on the Shadow, supporting normal cruising, boarding and easier access to the water. A larger windscreen provides more protection around the helm, reinforcing the model's role as a boat intended for longer days and weekend trips rather than only short high-speed runs.
Weekend accommodation
Below deck, the fuller bow creates room for either a double-berth or twin-berth arrangement, with a more substantial head compartment than on the original Shadow. The official inboard specification uses twin Volvo Aquamatic drives, while the overall concept remains focused on performance and easy coastal use. For buyers in the 12-14 metre sector, the OverShadow is best understood as the more enclosed, cruising-oriented member of Nautor Swan's compact power-yacht family.
