A substantial open motor yacht with a racing influence

Technohull's Alpha 50 was presented as the flagship of its Alpha family during the builder's September 2026 international exhibition programme. The Greek manufacturer displayed it with the smaller Alpha 45 at the Monaco Yacht Show and the Genoa Boat Show, demonstrating two approaches to fast open boating.

At 14.95 metres overall, the Alpha 50 is directly within the size range of Luxury Yacht Guide. It aims to combine a sociable outdoor arrangement with the propulsion and seakeeping characteristics expected of a high-performance boat, rather than prioritising enclosed accommodation.

A broad deck changes the way guests gather

The Alpha 50 has a published beam of 4.72 metres and an exterior layout with sunpads forward and aft, multiple seating areas and a hardtop over the helm. An island sunbed is a particularly prominent part of the aft arrangement.

The emphasis on open-air use suits Mediterranean day cruising and short trips between anchorages. Buyers should nevertheless consider how much shade is available while at rest, how securely guests can move around the deck and whether the chosen layout provides adequate storage for their intended activities.

Accommodation for two below deck

The builder describes a cabin accessed through a side entrance in the console, incorporating a double berth and a separate head with shower. This allows overnight stays without converting the boat into a conventional multi-cabin flybridge cruiser.

A practical inspection should examine standing space, ventilation and the ease of access to the bathroom. The quality of a short overnight stay can depend more on those everyday details than on the number of exterior lounging areas.

Dynastream hull and substantial power options

Technohull uses its proprietary Dynastream deep-V hull concept, with ventilated steps and a fine forward entry intended to support fast passage-making. The published technical data lists a lightship weight of approximately 7,000 kilograms and a fuel capacity of 1,800 litres.

Propulsion options include inboard and outboard layouts, with a maximum published outboard configuration of five 500-horsepower engines. Those headline figures should not be translated automatically into an owner's expected cruising range, which depends on load, conditions, engine choice and the speed selected.

A high-speed helm needs careful design

A wide console, enclosed windscreen area and shock-absorbing helm seating are part of the design. At high speed, visibility and the ability to remain secure in the seats matter as much as electronic displays and controls.

The builder lists a maximum capacity of sixteen passengers and CE Category B Offshore certification. Prospective owners must still follow the operational limits and equipment requirements applicable to the exact production specification and their intended cruising grounds.

A flagship with a distinct role

The Alpha 50's 2026 exhibition appearances are developments in an existing model family, not a claim that the hull was unveiled for the first time at Monaco. Its larger footprint and five-engine maximum distinguish it from the new Alpha 45.

Owners interested in this style of yacht should compare the final specification, noise levels, service access and fuel use under comparable conditions. The central question is whether the advantages of a wide, fast outdoor platform match their actual boating habits.
