An Italian builder strengthens its Turkish presence

Sessa Marine has appointed Azzurro as its dealer in Turkey, covering the builder's Key Largo open craft and the Sessa Yachts line. The new partnership was announced in October 2026 alongside the presentation of the refreshed Key Largo 25 at the Genoa International Boat Show.

Azzurro is headquartered in Yalıkavak, Bodrum, and works in several Turkish boating centres. For yacht buyers in the eastern Mediterranean, local representation is important because advice on specification, maintenance and warranty can become just as valuable as access to a boat at the time of purchase.

A dealer with service experience

Azzurro was founded in 2008 as a maintenance, repair and engine service company before expanding into new and used boat sales. It now has operations in Göcek, Marmaris and Istanbul as well as a branch in Olbia, according to the announcement.

That background may help the dealer understand the practical realities of ownership. Customers selecting a 12-to-24-metre cruiser often need advice about marina access, machinery service and local conditions before committing to an exact model or equipment package.

The Key Largo family leads the entry point

Sessa's Key Largo range includes open boats from the new Key Largo 25 through to the Key Largo 40. The builder has described the 25 as the beginning of a renewed design direction led by Daniele Mazzon's Studio M, with revised proportions and improved use of available space.

Although the smaller Key Largo boats sit below the usual LYG size range, they may be relevant as support craft for larger yachts or as an entry point to the brand. The Sessa yacht collection, extending to around 70 feet, is directly relevant to this publication's mid-size luxury cruiser readership.

A revived production business

The shipyard has passed into the ownership of the Vieira family and is working on a broader commercial expansion. Sessa says it has built more than 20,000 boats during its history, providing a substantial installed fleet that may require continued parts and servicing support.

Changes in distribution can provide growth opportunities, but owners will expect dependable access to the systems fitted to existing yachts. Clear procedures for technical questions and replacement parts help prevent sales ambitions from outpacing aftersales capability.

Turkey as a cruising and brokerage market

The Turkish coast is home to marinas, boatyards and extensive cruising itineraries. A dealer operating around Bodrum, Marmaris and Göcek can be well placed to assist owners who maintain a yacht locally but spend parts of the season in neighbouring waters.

Buyers should nonetheless confirm the territory covered by the dealership and the exact arrangements for warranty work. Cross-border cruising can raise questions about service responsibility, taxes and registration that require individual advice.

What happens next

The appointment has been formally announced, but availability of individual models, demonstration boats and local delivery slots should be checked with Azzurro. The relationship forms part of a larger commercial programme rather than the announcement of a completed new yacht delivery.

For the luxury-yacht sector, the development provides another example of manufacturers focusing on networks that can combine sales with practical service. A trustworthy local partner can influence an owner's experience long after the excitement of a purchase has faded.
