Saxdor Yachts is expanding its dealer network in the Americas with two new appointments that open a first formal presence in Argentina and strengthen coverage on Canada’s Pacific coast. Naval Motor will represent the brand in Argentina, while M&P Yacht Centre becomes the official dealer for British Columbia.

The appointments follow Saxdor’s wider growth across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and Eastern Canada. For an international production builder, adding dealers is not simply about increasing the number of sales outlets; the network also determines how easily owners can obtain commissioning, warranty support, servicing and help when they move boats between regions.

Naval Motor gives Saxdor its first Argentina base

Founded in 1968 and based in Buenos Aires, Naval Motor has been appointed as Saxdor’s exclusive representative in Argentina. The company will introduce the full Saxdor range to a market where the builder says interest in versatile, performance-oriented boats has been increasing.

Local representation matters because importing a boat into a new country involves more than signing an order. Buyers need guidance on specification, transport, customs, registration and the availability of compatible engines and equipment, so an established dealer can remove friction that would otherwise make an unfamiliar brand harder to consider.

British Columbia adds a very different cruising market

In Canada, Saxdor is moving west through M&P Yacht Centre, whose locations include Coal Harbour Marina in Vancouver. The dealer has more than 65 years of marine-industry experience and already serves a region where long coastal distances, colder conditions and complex waterways place different demands on boats than many Mediterranean markets.

That environment gives Saxdor’s enclosed and more protected models an opportunity to prove their versatility beyond warm-weather day boating. Dealer knowledge of local weather, mooring conditions and service infrastructure can also influence which options are recommended, making the same model feel more appropriate to the Pacific Northwest than a generic factory specification would.

Dealer depth matters after the first sale

A fast-growing boat brand can expand sales more quickly than its support network if appointments are made without enough technical capacity. Saxdor’s long-term reputation in new markets will therefore depend on whether the dealers can diagnose problems, obtain parts and manage warranty work after the excitement of the initial launch has passed.

Owners should look at service facilities and technician training as closely as showroom location. A local sales representative is useful, but a boat becomes much easier to own when the same network can arrange routine maintenance, coordinate engine support and communicate directly with the factory when a less common issue appears.

The Americas strategy is becoming more connected

Saxdor’s recent expansion means the brand is no longer approaching the Americas as one market centred only on Florida. Argentina, Western Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and established United States territories each have different seasons and owner profiles, creating the potential for a more resilient regional business.

That broader footprint can also help owners who travel. A yacht based in one territory may spend part of the year elsewhere, and a recognisable dealer network gives customers more confidence that support will not disappear when they leave the home marina or eventually sell the boat into another part of the region.

Network growth has to preserve the brand experience

One challenge of rapid dealer expansion is consistency. Saxdor can control manufacturing standards at the factory, but the owner often experiences the brand through a local salesperson, handover team and service department, so differences between dealers can shape perceptions just as strongly as the boat itself.

Clear commissioning procedures, shared technical documentation and responsive parts logistics are therefore essential. The appointments in Argentina and British Columbia will be successful if customers receive the same level of product knowledge and follow-up expected in Saxdor’s more established markets rather than simply gaining another place to place an order.

The next measure will be delivered boats and supported owners

New dealer announcements are an early indicator of commercial ambition, but they are not proof of market traction on their own. The more meaningful evidence will be local deliveries, owner events, demonstration fleets and the ability of each dealer to support boats after their first season in service.

For Luxury Yacht Guide, the expansion is relevant because Saxdor’s entire core range sits within the sub-24-metre production market. Stronger local representation can make those models more realistic choices for buyers who might previously have dismissed the brand because factory support felt too distant from Argentina or Canada’s west coast.
