The walkaround deck links the aft lounge with foredeck seating and allows guests to circulate without passing through a narrow internal cabin. Three cockpit seating modes support forward-facing travel, shared dining and reclining at anchor.
An exterior galley and refrigeration allow the boat to act as a destination for a full day rather than a shuttle to a beach club. The builder also describes hydraulically accessed aft stowage, particularly useful when carrying water toys and supplies.
Nimbus also offers an optional hydraulic swim platform on relevant power packages, adding a lower boarding position when alongside. Operators must observe its loading restrictions and the maker's procedure before treating it as an extension of the cockpit.
Beyond a conventional tender
At 12.70 metres, the Sport Tender 42 is a leisure yacht within LYG's coverage rather than an under-12-metre LBG craft. Nimbus lists four berths across two double cabins and fuel capacity of 850 litres, allowing overnight plans as well as day trips.
The twin-stepped hull is described by the manufacturer as capable of performance exceeding 45 knots with the appropriate installation. Available options include twin Mercury V10 outboards and Volvo Penta inboard power; speed will depend on load and individual specification.
How the new equipment affects ownership
The balcony, roof shading, new ergonomic helm seats and extended swim platform all serve different stages of a day on the water. Buyers should inspect the remaining movement space with the cockpit furnished, the access routes when the balcony is closed and the practical sun protection underway.
