Nautor Swan has unveiled the new Swan 73, marking its return to the 22-metre sailing segment after roughly two decades. The yacht is already under construction in Pietarsaari and is scheduled to reach the water in 2027.
Germán Frers is responsible for the naval architecture, with Luca Ardizio Design handling the exterior styling and Blend Studio developing the interiors. The official specification gives a hull length of 22.47 metres and an overall length of 23.67 metres.
Why this matters in the luxury-yacht market
The 73 sits immediately below the maxi category, making it a strategically important yacht for owners who want substantial volume without moving beyond 24 metres. Nautor Swan is also using an asymmetrical deck arrangement to create distinct cruising, sailing and beach-club zones.
Construction combines vinylester-infused fibreglass sandwich structures with local carbon reinforcement. The deck layout is intended to support reduced-crew operation, while three- or four-cabin configurations give owners flexibility below deck.
What comes next
With launch planned for 2027, the Swan 73 remains a project rather than a delivered production yacht. Construction progress and the first sailing trials will therefore be the next important evidence for assessing the design.
