Teledyne Technologies has promoted Michelle Hildyard to General Manager of Teledyne Raymarine and Teledyne FLIR Marine. Based in Fareham, England, she now leads Raymarine’s marine-electronics business and the FLIR Marine thermal-camera portfolio, bringing the two complementary marine technology brands under a single senior manager.
One leader now spans navigation and thermal imaging
Raymarine and FLIR Marine increasingly appear together in integrated helm and safety solutions, so a shared leadership structure can support closer coordination across product planning and commercial strategy. The combination also reflects how modern yacht electronics are moving toward connected systems rather than isolated boxes from separate suppliers.
Hildyard brings established marine-sector experience
Teledyne describes Hildyard as an experienced maritime leader responsible for strategy, innovation and growth across the two brands. Her role is therefore broader than day-to-day operations and includes shaping how the businesses develop products, partnerships and routes to market.
Integration is increasingly important at the helm
Owners now expect chartplotters, cameras, radar, sonar and digital-control systems to share information cleanly. Aligning leadership across Raymarine and FLIR Marine may help the companies make those integrations more consistent, especially as thermal imagery becomes a more common safety and situational-awareness tool on privately owned yachts.
The appointment comes during a busy product cycle
Raymarine has been expanding Axiom, LightHouse charts, third-party integrations and first-responder partnerships during 2026. Hildyard takes over at a point when the challenge is not simply releasing more hardware, but making the complete onboard technology experience easier to specify, install and support.
