The new FJORD 440 Open made its premiere

The FJORD 440 Open arrived as one of the group's two Cannes premieres, introducing reversible aft seating, an opening galley and a social cockpit built around outdoor use. A 55-inch television is integrated into the T-top, while twin Volvo Penta engines provide up to 960 horsepower.

FJORD also highlights a six-camera manoeuvring system and hydraulic bathing platform capable of carrying a Williams 280 Jet Tender or water toys. At roughly thirteen metres, the 440 remains firmly within the LYG market while delivering the open-air functionality expected from a premium Mediterranean day yacht.

The FJORD 490 Open added more space without leaving owner scale

The 490 Open joined the new 440 on the dedicated FJORD stand, extending the same walkaround philosophy into a larger platform. Its broad open deck is intended to support social use, swimming and fast point-to-point cruising without pushing the yacht into a professional-crew operating model.

For owners comparing the two, the practical question is how much additional volume and guest capacity is genuinely useful. Both yachts are below 24 metres, so the choice remains about private use, berth size, handling and lifestyle rather than moving into superyacht-scale management.

Hanse 461 and 590 covered two levels of sailing ambition

The new Hanse 461 was the sailing premiere, with a Beach Club concept, flexible layouts and a strong emphasis on simple handling. The larger Hanse 590 brought more interior volume and long-distance capacity while remaining well below LYG's upper boundary.

Showing both models at the same event gave sailing owners a clear progression through the range. The 461 offers easier scale for private crews, while the 590 provides more space for extended cruising without requiring the leap to a 24-metre-plus yacht.

Moody DS48 completed the LYG-relevant sailing line-up

The Moody DS48 brought the brand's deck-saloon concept to Cannes, combining panoramic interior views with long-distance cruising accommodation. Its layout is designed around protected living space and easy movement between saloon, cockpit and deck areas.

HanseYachts AG also displayed models below 12 metres at Cannes, but those sit outside LYG's lower boundary and are excluded here. The editorial focus remains only on the five yachts that fit the 12.00-to-23.99-metre luxury-yacht segment.
