Elettromedia has formally launched the new Audison Marine division at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, bringing the premium-audio brand into marine applications with a complete Thesis system developed specifically for yachts and boats. The launch moves Audison beyond adapting automotive equipment for marine use and establishes a dedicated product architecture covering loudspeakers, subwoofers, amplification, digital sources and control.

The move is separate from Elettromedia's newly announced partnership with Navico Group. That agreement concerns deeper integration between audio and vessel electronics, while the Audison Marine launch establishes the hardware and acoustic platform that builders and owners will actually specify on board.

Thesis becomes the flagship marine line

The Thesis range includes 7.7-inch and 8.8-inch coaxial speakers, 10-inch and 12-inch subwoofers, new-generation DSP amplifiers, digital sources and control units. Audison says the products have been developed as an integrated system rather than a collection of unrelated components, allowing the amplification, processing and transducers to be engineered around the same acoustic target.

Speakers and subwoofers are offered in visible Sport versions as well as INTEGRA configurations designed to sit more discreetly within the yacht's architecture. That distinction is relevant to interior and exterior designers because premium audio installations increasingly have to meet aesthetic requirements as well as acoustic ones.

Hi-Res certification extends to the full marine system

Audison says its Thesis marine platform has received Hi-Res Audio certification from the Japan Audio Society, with system response extending to 40kHz. The company presents this as the first complete marine-audio system carrying that certification rather than a single certified source or component.

Frequency extension alone does not determine how a system will sound on a yacht, where wind, engines, open decks and reflective surfaces create a difficult acoustic environment. The more useful test will be how the complete installation maintains tonal balance, intelligibility and dynamic range across different listening zones when the boat is under way.

Marine durability is built into the platform

The new range is designed for exposure to water, salt and ultraviolet light rather than relying on conventional indoor audio construction. The launch material specifies IP65 protection for relevant components and salt-fog resistance tested for up to 1,000 hours, addressing two of the principal environmental challenges for equipment installed on open decks.

Audison has also developed a double-wave grille geometry intended to disperse sound while deflecting water and reducing salt accumulation. These details matter because a high-end audio system on a yacht has to preserve performance after repeated exposure, not simply deliver strong laboratory measurements when new.

Integration will determine the ownership experience

The most important next step is how Thesis systems connect with the rest of the yacht. Audison's own control architecture provides zones and sources, while the new Navico Group relationship creates a route toward deeper interaction with multifunction displays and wider onboard technology.

For LYG-sized yachts, a complete factory-engineered audio package can be particularly attractive because technical space is limited and owners often expect simple control without a dedicated AV specialist aboard.
