A new senior appointment

Aschenez Group appointed Luca Brancaleon General Manager for Sales and Marketing as the Italian marine manufacturer develops its international distribution and product portfolio. The announcement identifies a role spanning sales organisation, market analysis and customer relationships.

Brancaleon joins following experience at Sessa Marine, Brunswick and Groupe Beneteau, together with more recent work in multi-brand yacht distribution. The change is a commercial appointment rather than an announcement of a newly delivered yacht.

A career across builders and dealers

Brancaleon worked with major boat brands and later managed distribution and service operations in France, gaining experience on both the industrial and retailer sides of the business. His background includes CRM and digital marketing as well as direct customer sales.

This breadth can matter when a manufacturer needs to convert product ideas into equipment packages dealers can support. A successful commercial structure depends on real technical capability and clear customer communications, not solely on the strength of a sales campaign.

Three brand identities

Aschenez operates Invictus Yacht, Capoforte Boats and Marcopolo Adventure Yachts, whose designs are intended for different forms of leisure boating. The company's published range includes vessels around twelve and fifteen metres that fall within LYG's remit.

The smaller models within the portfolio are not LYG-sized yachts and should be treated only as company context. Buyers considering a larger Marcopolo or Invictus model need to compare construction, operating profile and delivery terms individually.

Production in southern Italy

The company has facilities at Borgia in Calabria and Villafranca Tirrena near Messina, covering approximately 20,000 square metres and employing around two hundred people according to its announcement. Aschenez also describes a network exceeding fifty dealers.

A large distribution network may improve access, but owners should verify exactly which outlets provide aftersales services rather than sales introductions. Service capabilities vary by location and product family.

Ownership and business structure

Aschenez Holding completed the acquisition of the remaining minority interest in Aschenez Srl in 2026, consolidating control of the operating business. Management says the appointment is intended to support a new period of commercial development.

Organisational consolidation can make priorities clearer, but it does not automatically establish improvements in build quality or shorter delivery times. Buyers should assess objective performance and contractual commitments.

What changes for customers

A more coordinated global sales operation may make model information and purchasing procedures easier to navigate. Brancaleon's remit includes aligning the offering with customer demand across international markets.

The reported appointment is confirmed, while future model programmes and sales growth will require further evidence. Owners should continue to rely on documented specifications and reputable service arrangements.

Dealer support and long-term quality

When a builder enters new overseas markets, its dealer network must be able to coordinate commissioning, warranty work and spare parts. The company should explain how issues are escalated when the local representative cannot resolve them.

Owners may want a clear list of systems and their individual manufacturers, because aftersales responsibility is sometimes divided. This documentation can also be valuable when the boat is resold.
