At Pavyllon London, chef Yannick Alléno is moving the croissant beyond breakfast with a dedicated offering called La Croissanterie. It is open daily from noon until 8pm inside Pavyllon Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.
The concept uses hand-laminated croissants baked fresh each day as the base for substantial savoury dishes and elaborate patisserie. It brings the casual rhythm of a Parisian café into a Michelin-starred London restaurant setting.
A different place for the pastry
The new space is intended for afternoon meetings, lighter dining or an early evening visit. Its opening hours mean the croissant is not restricted to a morning coffee ritual.
The menu uses a familiar pastry as the foundation for a variety of dishes rather than simply adding a new flavour to breakfast service. Guests can order food and a drink without booking the full restaurant tasting experience.
Lobster, lamb and Wagyu fillings
The savoury menu includes a Caesar chicken croissant and a Scottish lobster version with egg mayonnaise, smoked pike roe and tarragon. Other fillings include 36-hour confit lamb shoulder and sautéed Wagyu beef.
The savoury range begins at £15 according to the announcement, with prices differing by filling. Diners should check the current menu at the time of visiting.
Chocolate and almond for dessert
A hazelnut-chocolate croissant contains chocolate ganache and salted caramel, while the almond-praliné version includes toasted cream, caramelised almonds and vanilla glaze. These are composed desserts rather than plain pastries with a spread.
Hot and iced drinks accompany the food, including an exclusive Lavazza coffee blend. The restaurant also references premium Japanese tea in its beverage offering.
An alternative Mayfair stop
La Croissanterie gives visitors a more flexible way to experience the Pavyllon kitchen in Mayfair. The move is separate from Sofitel's global croissant-and-coffee collaboration, also covered in LYG.
The dedicated menu remains subject to availability throughout the day. Travellers should confirm whether reservations are necessary for the lounge at the time they intend to visit.
