Venice is famous for arriving by water, but access to sailing matters as much as the view from the shore. An inclusive sailing gathering at San Giuliano brought around 70 participants together over 17–19 September, with Hansa boats and support from local sailing organisations.

The Italian sailing organisation’s report describes sessions in the lagoon waters beside Mestre, rather than a race reserved for professional yacht crews. Volunteers, instructors and partner groups helped create an environment where people with different experience and access needs could take part.

The event used suitable small sailing craft and facilities rather than a 12–23.99m private yacht. Its relevance here is to the social experience of sailing and waterside travel, not LYG’s production-yacht fleet.

Small-craft activity remains subject to designated waterways and local traffic restrictions. A yacht skipper should arrange berthing and transfers independently of a community sailing event.
