A smaller hotel atmosphere inside a large resort
The Westerly opened at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino on 28 May 2026, adding a boutique-style oceanfront tower to one of Palm Beach's established holiday addresses. With 161 oversized guestrooms and suites, the development is intended to combine more private arrival and service with access to a larger resort's established restaurants, pools and leisure programmes.
Rather than constructing an entirely separate resort, Hilton has created a more intimate accommodation experience within its existing beachfront property. That arrangement could suit travellers who value a quieter base but still want the practical flexibility of several dining venues and activities close by.
Terrace on 10 creates a new gathering place
One of the tower's defining features is Terrace on 10, an adults-only rooftop with views over the coast, refreshments and wellness-oriented programming. The elevated setting offers a different experience from the busy shoreline below, particularly for an unhurried evening or a relaxed afternoon out of the midday sun.
Access rules are worth checking carefully. Staying within the wider Hilton Aruba resort does not automatically grant every guest the same privileges in The Westerly. Likewise, adults-only facilities may have distinct opening hours, charges or reservations, depending on room category and the selected experience.
Accommodation designed around the balcony
The rooms and suites feature private balconies, with some oceanfront options providing extensive terraces. Selected accommodations also include adults-only swim-up arrangements. A private arrival process and concierge services help differentiate the experience from the resort's main lobby and larger guestroom inventory.
Visitors should compare the actual outlook and balcony configuration rather than assume that every suite has direct sea views or a private pool. A tower's overall oceanfront position does not eliminate differences between floors, directions and room types. The current photography and reservation description should guide the choice.
Exploring beyond the tower
Palm Beach offers a wide selection of restaurants, watersports and evening entertainment, so guests can readily combine resort relaxation with experiences farther along Aruba's western coast. Trade winds often moderate the heat, but outdoor activities still depend on changing sea and weather conditions. A flexible itinerary can be more enjoyable than an exhausting daily programme.
The Westerly's arrival adds accommodation choice without asking a traveller to sacrifice the amenities of a large resort. Its appeal rests on an unusual combination of controlled privacy and shared facilities. The best reservation will be the one whose included privileges match the type of island stay the guest wants. Travellers should also clarify whether terrace amenities, beach chairs and special dining reservations are included or separately charged. Such details often matter more to the final cost than a room description.
