Sofitel and Nespresso have launched a limited-edition café-croissant experience at 20 selected Sofitel hotels worldwide. The programme runs from 1 September to 26 November 2026 and moves a familiar French breakfast pairing into an in-room tasting ritual.
La Haute Croissanterie pastry creations are matched with coffee recipes designed for the collaboration. The finishing stage takes place in the guest room, adding a service element beyond an ordinary room-service tray.
Le Brulé plays with almond and honey
Le Brulé matches a crispy honey-cream croissant with a cappuccino whose foam receives a brûléed finish. Almond and orange notes connect the pastry with the decaffeinated coffee.
The combination uses contrasting textures as well as flavour, with a crisp pastry and softer foam. It is the most classically patisserie-led of the announced trio.
L'Epicé takes a spicier direction
L'Epicé combines a coffee-chocolate croissant with a spicy chocolate coffee made using oat milk. Passion fruit and Sichuan pepper provide a sharper, more aromatic counterpoint to the darker flavours.
The pairing explores how fruit acidity can change the impression of chocolate and espresso. It is a designed tasting rather than simply a stronger version of a standard mocha.
Le Tonique uses iced espresso
Le Tonique pairs a Paris-Brest-inspired croissant containing hazelnut cream with an iced orange espresso tonic. Tonic bitterness and citrus provide contrast to the pastry's richer nut flavours.
The coffee also uses orange-blossom notes that echo the pastry's aromatic profile. The recipe illustrates the collaboration's willingness to include chilled coffee within a French pastry ritual.
Available by room service
Guests at the participating Sofitel hotels can order a pairing on demand during the announced programme. A final preparation gesture is delivered in-room to complete the experience.
Availability applies to selected properties, not every Sofitel in the world. Travellers should verify which hotel is participating and confirm local service times and pricing directly.
