MGallery Collection has signed Ink 48 in Manhattan as its planned US flagship hotel, with a conversion targeted for 2028. The announcement is a future agreement rather than confirmation that the property already operates under the MGallery brand.

The existing Hell's Kitchen hotel overlooks the Hudson River and will remain independent while renovations and upgrades are carried out. Rebel Hotel Company is due to manage the property in its new branded phase.

A distinctive Hell's Kitchen address

Ink 48 has 222 rooms including 17 suites, with industrial-influenced design and views towards the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline. Its location offers access to Broadway, Hudson Yards and Times Square.

The hotel is known for generous spaces relative to its dense urban setting, including a penthouse suite. Those existing qualities are part of the identity MGallery says it intends to preserve.

Rooftop and ground-floor hospitality

The hotel's food-and-drink offer includes Hudson Local at street level and Hudson VU, its rooftop bar. Approximately 6,000 square feet of meeting and event facilities support another part of the property.

A renovation is intended to add MGallery's design and service elements while retaining a connection to New York's creative character. The final details of that programme have not yet been published as completed works.

An operating hotel during transition

Accor says the hotel will continue operating independently during the renovation period. Its move into MGallery is planned for 2028, which gives the project a different status from a newly opened branded hotel.

Travellers booking before conversion should not expect completed MGallery brand features merely on the strength of the signing. Any facility disruption should be verified with the hotel at the time of reservation.

A wider US expansion

The deal expands MGallery's plans in American gateway cities following the introduction of Hotel Ändra in Seattle. Accor identifies the US as a significant source market for its boutique-hotel collection.

The group also reports additional MGallery openings planned around Greece, the Maldives and other locations. Ink 48 is a distinct Manhattan development and should be evaluated on its own timeline.
