A strong weekend at Zandvoort
Matisse Lismont and Ignacio Montenegro took a victory and a second place in the Silver Cup at Zandvoort. Their #30 BMW M4 GT3 EVO competed with Team WRT in the GT World Challenge Europe.
The result completed a title triple across the Endurance, Sprint and Overall Silver Cup classifications. BMW’s announcement states that two race events remained in the wider season.
Different outcomes within one team
While the Silver Cup pair succeeded, the team’s Pro Cup entries encountered a more difficult weekend. Valentino Rossi and Max Hesse recorded the squad’s best Pro result with fourth on Sunday.
Separate racing classes have different competitive fields and standings. The result of one crew should not be treated as the overall outcome for every BMW entered.
A route for emerging talent
Silver Cup racing places developing drivers in a professional multi-car championship. Consistency across Sprint and Endurance programmes was part of the pair’s title success.
