A title decided at Le Castellet
BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team won the 2026 FIM Endurance World Championship after the season’s Bol d’Or 24-hour race. The #37 BMW M 1000 RR also took the race victory at Le Castellet.
Michael van der Mark, Markus Reiterberger and Steven Odendaal formed the winning rider group. BMW describes it as the team’s first world endurance title.
A difficult route to the result
The team had experienced a late mechanical disappointment at the same venue in the previous season. Its 2026 campaign combined strong pace with sustained work across the championship’s rounds.
An endurance race requires the machinery and riders to keep performing beyond a short sprint. The Bol d’Or finish therefore provided a particularly demanding setting for the deciding result.

BMW’s M 1000 RR is the competition platform used by the factory endurance effort. Its successful race setup is specific to this team and event.
