Six days through Romania
The tenth BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy concluded in the Romanian Carpathians after six days and approximately 1,500 kilometres. Competitors crossed forest tracks, mountain routes and demanding natural terrain.
The event is designed as a team adventure rather than a simple maximum-speed race. Navigation, teamwork and maintaining control under pressure all contribute to its character.
Results from the final stage
Team Germany won the men’s competition with 203 points, while Team Europe won the women’s contest with 200. BMW reports that close scores made the last challenge consequential.
The women’s winning pair comprised Chrissie Harcourt and Anja Filak. These results describe the 2026 edition and are not predictions for future events.
The GS riding experience
The route tested riders and motorcycles across different surfaces and elevations. BMW portrays the anniversary edition as particularly technical within the history of the event.
That terrain places demands on endurance and judgement beyond ordinary road travel. The organised competition had its own support arrangements and should not be used as a template for an unsupported trip.
