Aston Martin has introduced the DBX GT as a more comfort-led interpretation of its high-performance SUV. It keeps the output and speed of the DBX S while changing the emphasis toward refinement, quieter travel and a less aggressive visual character.

The model is aimed at customers who still want substantial performance but use an SUV for long journeys and everyday life. That makes the details around seating, road noise and ride quality at least as important as the headline power figure.

A calmer exterior

The DBX GT uses a new double-vaned grille, two-piece metal side strakes and body-coloured lower sections to create a more restrained look. A new 22-inch forged wheel is standard, with a 23-inch option available for buyers who want a more assertive stance.

The metal side-strake finish mixes polished and satin surfaces and Aston Martin says the treatment takes inspiration from traditional watchmaking. It is a small example of the car borrowing luxury cues from outside conventional automotive styling.

More attention to the cabin

Front and rear seats have been redesigned with more cushioning, revised bolsters and a 10mm memory-foam layer in the cushion structure. An individual rear-seat layout adds more sculpted seating while retaining five-seat flexibility.

Aston Martin says each front seat uses 691 metres of thread, 3,297 perforation holes and more than four and a half hours of craft work. Semi-aniline leather, deep-pile mats and jewellery-like metal switchgear reinforce the comfort-led specification.

Quieter long-distance travel

Additional sealing, acoustic laminated rear glass and targeted sound-deadening reduce road, wind and traffic noise entering the cabin. The company reports a 13 percent improvement in its Articulation Index measure for conversation clarity.

Suspension calibration has also been revised to filter high-frequency road inputs while maintaining body control. Standard 22-inch wheels with all-season tyres are part of that attempt to improve compliance in everyday conditions.

Performance remains available

The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 727PS and 900Nm, with a claimed 0-60mph time of 3.1 seconds and a 193mph top speed. Carbon-ceramic brakes and the faster steering ratio shared with DBX S remain part of the package.

First DBX GT deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. For buyers who spend more time touring than chasing lap times, the important change is that the car now gives refinement equal billing with performance.
