Aston Martin has opened Q London at 14 Berkeley Square in Mayfair as a flagship for its bespoke personalisation service. The two-floor space combines dealership, specification rooms, hospitality and events rather than following the layout of a conventional showroom.

Q by Aston Martin can range from a unique stitch, leather or paint colour to special models and one-off commissions. Putting that service in a tactile London setting gives customers direct access to materials and the people behind the choices.

A showroom designed like hospitality

The 587-square-metre location includes display areas, informal meeting spaces, a coffee bar, private consultations and event space. A Portland-stone frontage and double-height interior with bronze-clad arches set a more residential and hospitality-led tone.

Aston Martin describes the environment as closer to a private members’ club than a traditional dealership. That matters because the specification process can take time and benefits from a setting designed for conversation rather than quick retail turnover.

More than 500 physical samples

The specification lounge holds more than 500 samples covering body colours, trim, leather and stitch patterns. Physical materials sit beside digital visualisation so customers can judge texture and colour in the hand before finalising a car.

A large configurator screen measures roughly eight metres wide by three metres high. It uses design data from Aston Martin’s studio to create near full-size visualisations of core and special models.

Craft, material and architecture

Timber panelling, limestone, glass and a bespoke concealed guest lift continue the material-led approach into the lower floor. The private consultation room and additional sample wall are designed for deeper one-to-one specification sessions.

The space also carries artwork and screens explaining Aston Martin’s heritage, racing, innovation and current cars. That turns the visit into a brand experience even for someone who is not arriving solely to place an order.

A broader luxury-retail shift

Q London sits among Mayfair’s established luxury stores and opened alongside the debut of the new DBX GT. Its location and format show how automotive retail is borrowing from fashion, interiors and private hospitality.

For LYG readers, the crossover is familiar because yacht commissioning also depends on samples, material libraries and long design conversations. Aston Martin is effectively giving the car-specification process the kind of environment already common in bespoke marine and interior design.
