Brokerage software provider extends its offer
Tack and Jibe has extended its promotional package for boat brokers until 31 October 2026 following its appearance at September's Southampton International Boat Show. The company offers digital tools for brokerages, and its announcement describes a subscription offer alongside early access to a forthcoming customer-management product.
According to the statement published by British Marine, the package provides twelve months of service for the price of eight, together with access arrangements for the First Mate CRM platform. The terms are a supplier promotion rather than a new regulatory requirement for yacht brokers.
Southampton provided direct industry contact
The company says it co-exhibited with broker client SWUK Marine throughout the ten-day Southampton show. Tack and Jibe reported adding five broker customers and holding more than ten further brokerage discussions at the event.
It also cited at least three website-build projects and two application-build projects, as well as prospective partnerships. These are company-reported business-development figures, not an independently audited measure of the entire show's commercial performance.
First Mate CRM targets follow-up activity
Customer-management systems are increasingly relevant to brokerages that handle complex enquiries and long sales cycles. Recording vessel preferences, appointment histories and communications can reduce the risk of losing continuity between initial interest, viewings and eventual offers.
The First Mate CRM offering is presented as an upcoming addition to the provider's platform. Brokers should verify what is currently available, how records can be exported and which costs apply after introductory terms expire, rather than assuming every described feature is already in production.
Operational issues for yacht brokers
A marine brokerage may maintain listings across a website, directories and specialist sales platforms while communicating with clients through email and telephone. A coherent workflow needs to handle listings, follow-up and privacy obligations without creating different versions of the same vessel information.
Technology alone cannot verify vessel condition, legal ownership or the accuracy of an advertised specification. Brokers still need reliable source documentation, independent checks and clear responsibilities for updating client-facing records.
Current deadline and buyer considerations
The company says the extended offer runs until 31 October 2026, following the trade show's September programme. Interested firms should read the provider's current contract and service terms before adopting a new technology system.
The news highlights continued investment in digital brokerage tools for the recreational and luxury yacht market. It does not establish that the proposed software will improve sales outcomes for every brokerage, because implementation quality and existing processes still matter.
