SACS Marine has inaugurated its first SACS Lounge in Italy in partnership with Nautica Bertelli at Santa Margherita Ligure. The concept adds a dedicated local point of contact for owners and prospective clients alongside the builder's conventional dealer network.
The lounge is designed to support customers from initial consultation and yacht configuration through delivery, after-sales service and longer-term ownership. SACS says the format is part of a broader go-to-market strategy centred on closer relationships with owners.
Santa Margherita Ligure becomes the owner-facing base
The new lounge operates in Santa Margherita Ligure with offices and access to a dedicated marina. That gives owners a physical location where the brand, local service expertise and boating infrastructure are available together.
The Ligurian location is significant for a builder whose products are widely used as performance day boats, chase boats and leisure yachts around the Mediterranean. A local base can shorten the route between an owner and technical assistance during the cruising season.
Paratico adds showroom, marina and technical support
Nautica Bertelli's historic headquarters at Paratico on Lake Iseo complements the coastal lounge. The site includes a showroom, marina and service centre and will also serve as a technical base for testing and sea trials for owners and prospective customers.
Using the two locations together lets the partnership separate hospitality and customer contact from some of the more technical activities. It also provides additional capacity for commissioning, demonstrations and service work away from the busiest Mediterranean ports.
New model sits alongside the dealer network
SACS is not replacing its dealer system with the Lounge concept. Instead, the company is selecting local partners with infrastructure and technical capabilities that can provide a more continuous brand presence throughout the ownership cycle.
That approach reflects a wider shift in premium yachting toward after-sales relationships rather than treating the customer journey as complete at delivery. Owners increasingly expect builders and their representatives to remain accessible for maintenance coordination, upgrades and operational support.
Service becomes part of the product proposition
The first Lounge gives SACS a real-world test of whether the model can strengthen owner retention and service consistency. Nautica Bertelli brings more than 50 years of marine-industry experience to the partnership, while SACS provides the product and brand framework.
For buyers of 12-to-23.99-metre performance yachts, dependable local support can influence the purchase as much as styling or speed. The Santa Margherita opening therefore represents a commercial and ownership-service development rather than simply a new showroom.
