Riva's first branded residential project

Riva is extending its design identity into residential property through Riva Residenze along Fort Lauderdale's Intracoastal Waterway near Bahia Mar. Designer Giuseppina Arena outlined the project at the Riva Lounge in Monaco during the yacht-show period, with details reported on 9 October 2026.

The development is planned as a tower of 36 homes, ranging from about 2,000 to more than 8,000 square feet, with full-floor penthouses at the top. It is a future residential project, not a new 12–23.99m Riva yacht model.

A waterfront location linked to brand history

The site near Bahia Mar has a historical association with Riva, whose first fibreglass yacht in 1969 carried the Bahia Mar 20 name. Arena has described the geographical coincidence as an appealing connection between the new building and the shipyard's heritage.

A waterfront address does not automatically establish berthing rights or facilities for private vessels. Potential residents should check marina arrangements, access and local regulations directly rather than infer them from promotional imagery.

Design led by yacht experience

Arena previously led yacht interior design across several Ferretti Group brands for nearly a decade. For the residential project, she aims to translate proportions, materials and refinement associated with yacht interiors into larger living spaces.

The design seeks a restrained connection with the Riva identity, including aquamarine tones and carefully stitched leather details, rather than a literal replica of a boat cabin. Durability and maintenance requirements differ in a residential tower.

A rooftop inspired by waterside living

The development plan includes an elevated infinity pool inspired by the beach-club concept of Riva's 54-metre yacht. A sky lounge below will feature a private cinema, wine room and library, with flooring recalling teak yacht decks.

These amenities remain plans until construction and commissioning are confirmed. Owners evaluating the property should examine service charges, access conditions and the quality of building management.

A brand and developer partnership

WellDuo, Vertical Developments and GCF Development are developing the project with Riva, while Arquitectonica is responsible for the architectural design. Such partnerships connect a yacht brand's visual identity with the specialist disciplines of real-estate development.

Responsibility for building quality, contractual promises and long-term operation will depend on the legal agreements, not merely on the use of a familiar luxury name. Buyers should request independent real-estate and legal advice.

Why the crossover matters to LYG

Riva manufactures a range of motor yachts, including smaller models within LYG's editorial remit. Extending its identity into residences may deepen customer relationships but should not be confused with a change to its boatbuilding specifications.

The October interview provides a concrete picture of the design concept and its participants. Completion dates, sales results and the eventual resident experience need separate verification.
