The F65 is the largest current F Class model
At 20.3 metres, the F65 sits above the smaller flybridge yachts in Princess’s F Class but remains clearly inside the LYG length band. The extra length is used to create more separation between guest spaces while retaining the familiar flybridge layout.
For owners moving up from a 50- or 60-foot yacht, this can represent a meaningful increase in comfort without automatically requiring a superyacht-style operating structure. Berthing and maintenance become more demanding, but the yacht still belongs to a recognisable production-yacht ownership model.
Eight berths make the lower deck family-friendly
Princess lists accommodation for up to eight people, allowing the F65 to support larger family groups or two sets of guests without relying on convertible saloon furniture. The layout uses the 5.09-metre beam to create more generous cabin proportions and practical circulation.
This capacity is valuable when the yacht is used for week-long holidays rather than occasional day trips. Buyers should also consider luggage and storage needs, because the comfort of eight guests depends on having enough room for personal gear as well as sleeping spaces.
Twin MAN V8s provide up to 33 knots
The F65 uses twin MAN V8-1200 engines rated at 1,200hp each. Princess quotes a maximum-speed range of 31 to 33 knots and a fuel capacity of 4,100 litres, giving the yacht useful performance for longer Mediterranean or Bahamas passages.
The combination allows owners to cover distance quickly when required while cruising more economically at lower speeds. Fuel planning remains an important part of ownership at this size, particularly when high-speed operation becomes a regular part of the itinerary.
The flybridge becomes a major social deck
The F65’s upper deck provides a second helm together with dining, seating and sunbathing areas. This allows guests to spend much of the day outside while leaving the main-deck saloon available as a cooler or more private alternative.
That separation is one reason flybridge yachts remain popular with families. During a long day aboard, having several distinct places to sit, eat and relax can make the yacht feel significantly larger than its overall length suggests.
