The M48 uses beam as its main design advantage

At 14.78 metres overall, the M48 is relatively compact in length but nearly six metres wide. That proportion gives PRESTIGE more room for guest circulation and private accommodation than a conventional monohull of similar overall length would normally provide.

The builder positions the result around freedom of movement and connection with the sea rather than top speed. Large openings, broad deck areas and a low centre of gravity are intended to create a calmer onboard environment at anchor and during moderate-speed cruising.

Twin Volvo diesels provide a 20-knot ceiling

The current specification lists two Volvo D4 engines rated at 320 horsepower each through V-drive propulsion. PRESTIGE publishes a maximum speed of about 20 knots, making the yacht clearly more focused on efficient cruising than high-performance running.

Fuel capacity is a little over 1,200 litres, while the catamaran form can reduce resistance at moderate speeds compared with a similarly voluminous monohull. Actual consumption will still depend on sea state, loading, hull cleanliness and the final equipment specification.

Guest capacity can reach eight plus crew

PRESTIGE lists capacity for six to eight guests plus one crew member depending on arrangement. The broad hull spacing creates opportunities for separated cabins and private zones that would be difficult to package into a monohull with the same 14.78-metre overall length.

This makes the M48 relevant to buyers who want apartment-like space without moving immediately into a much longer yacht. The interior concept also benefits from large windows and strong sightlines, using the catamaran's width to create a more residential atmosphere.

The model anchors the smaller end of the M-Line

The M48 remains the most compact current expression of PRESTIGE's multihull strategy, sitting below larger M-Line models while maintaining the same emphasis on volume and stability. It therefore provides a lower entry point into the builder's power-catamaran ownership proposition.
