Next Plymouth Boat Fest date confirmed

Plymouth Yacht Haven has confirmed Saturday 12 June 2027 for the next Plymouth Boat Fest. The announcement follows editions in 2025 and 2026 that organisers say established the event among the South West's boating showcases.

The festival is intended to bring together boat owners, suppliers, equipment businesses, training providers and local communities. It is a regional marine event rather than a show restricted to one yacht class.

Vessels and equipment will return to the marina

Plans include in-water boat displays and demonstrations, along with stands covering marine equipment and services. A working marina helps visitors see how vessels are boarded and used rather than relying entirely on brochures.

Prospective owners can compare cockpit access, deck arrangements and helms across different types of boat. The value of an afloat display is the opportunity to ask practical questions directly while examining real layouts.

Marine Technology Zone planned again

The dedicated Marine Technology Zone is scheduled to return, showcasing innovation and work related to marine autonomy. The event also intends to include displays from conservation organisations and providers of maritime training.

Such exhibits broaden the festival beyond straightforward boat sales and help connect the local leisure-boating sector with engineering and maritime employment. Technology demonstrations should be treated as opportunities to learn, not as proof that any solution is suitable for every yacht.

Exhibitor bookings are open

The organiser says exhibitors can now apply for space at the June 2027 event. Plymouth Yacht Haven marina manager Steve Cox emphasised that the festival aims to celebrate boating while supporting businesses and skills across the region.

Companies preparing to participate can contact the event organiser for stand availability and participation conditions. No complete vessel-by-vessel display list has been confirmed in the announcement.

A show for cruising owners and suppliers

For small luxury-yacht and motor-cruiser owners, the festival can offer conversations with local specialists about maintenance, electronic upgrades and training. Those services form an important part of the ownership experience after a vessel has been bought.

The confirmed development is the event's 2027 date and the opening of exhibitor bookings. Further announcements about individual yachts, visitor arrangements and detailed schedules should be checked with Plymouth Boat Fest closer to June.
