The Patrone 45′ Convertible has made its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival as the new flagship of Cantiere Navale Patrone Moreno. Measuring 14.00 metres overall, the yacht takes the traditional Ligurian gozzo as its starting point but reorganises the concept around longer stays aboard, greater protection and more flexible living spaces.
Designed by Tommaso Spadolini, the new model develops the direction established by the Patrone 100 and Patrone 45′ Open while giving the 45-foot platform a more cruising-oriented character. The emphasis is on creating a yacht that can remain comfortable over several days without losing the low-key Mediterranean identity that has defined the Patrone range.
A new 14-metre flagship for Patrone Moreno
Patrone Moreno describes the 45′ Convertible as the latest stage in its modern interpretation of the Ligurian gozzo, a boat type historically associated with simple forms and a close relationship with the sea. The new flagship keeps those proportions recognisable while adding more enclosed living space, larger glazing and a layout intended for extended cruising.
The yacht has a hull length of 12.40 metres, an overall length of 14.00 metres and a beam of 4.40 metres. Official specifications list a draught of 1.15 metres, displacement of 14 tonnes and CE Category B certification, placing the model firmly in the substantial end of the sub-24-metre owner-operated cruising market.
The main deck is reorganised around living space
One of the defining changes is the treatment of the main deck, where the saloon is given more room for relaxation, dining and entertaining. Patrone offers different cockpit arrangements, including configurations centred on a convertible sunpad or perimeter seating, allowing owners to choose between a more lounging-focused or more social use of the aft deck.
The central living area uses a 360-degree seating concept and a convertible dinette, with the layout designed to adapt through the day rather than dedicate every zone to one fixed purpose. Patrone’s wider 45-foot platform also supports multiple deck and interior solutions, continuing the yard’s emphasis on tailoring each yacht around the way an owner intends to use it.
Moving the galley below changes the saloon
For the first time in the shipyard’s history, the galley has been moved below deck on this model, a decision that frees the main deck for living space. The lower galley remains connected visually to the exterior through generous hull glazing and the open relationship with the deck above, so the arrangement is intended to avoid the enclosed feeling that can accompany a conventional lower-deck kitchen.
The galley is specified with equipment suitable for longer cruising, including an induction hob, oven, large-capacity refrigerator, dishwasher and watermaker. By relocating those functions, Patrone can devote the saloon above almost entirely to seating and circulation while still giving owners the domestic equipment needed for extended stays.
Six berths support longer cruises
Accommodation is arranged for up to six guests, with a full-beam owner’s cabin, a twin guest cabin and two further berths created from the convertible dinette. Two independent bathrooms add privacy when the yacht is being used by family or friends for more than a day trip.
The interior uses limed and bleached oak with large areas of natural light, while fabrics, finishes and colour choices can be customised. Patrone also lists several cockpit and interior layout alternatives, allowing the same 14-metre hull to be configured differently for couples, families or owners who expect to cruise regularly with guests.
Volvo IPS propulsion is matched to cruising systems
Power comes from twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 units with joystick control, giving the Convertible a propulsion package aimed at straightforward manoeuvring as well as efficient cruising. Patrone’s Cannes presentation also lists Garmin instrumentation, a Quick Gyro X13 gyroscopic stabiliser, a Paguro generator, Frigomar air conditioning and a watermaker among the equipment supporting longer periods aboard.
The combination is significant because the Convertible is being positioned as more than a protected version of an open gozzo. Stabilisation, climate control, onboard generation and water-making capacity all support the idea of spending more time away from the marina, while IPS joystick control reduces the workload during close-quarters handling.
Cannes first, Genoa next
The Patrone 45′ Convertible is making its international debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 8 to 13 September, where it is the centrepiece of the yard’s 2026 show programme. After Cannes, the yacht is scheduled to make its Italian premiere at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show from 1 to 6 October.
That two-show sequence gives Patrone Moreno a chance to present the flagship first to an international Cannes audience and then return with it to Liguria, the region most closely connected with the yard’s heritage. In Genoa, the 45′ Convertible will be shown alongside the Patrone 100 and Patrone 30′ Cabin, placing the new model within the broader evolution of the current range.
