OceanLED has appointed Almere-based Totallux as exclusive distributor for its Leisure Marine product range in the Netherlands. The agreement gives Dutch boat builders, installers, dealers and yacht owners a local route to OceanLED products backed by Totallux’s existing marine-lighting expertise.
The agreement focuses on leisure marine
OceanLED has been explicit that the new distribution agreement covers its Leisure Marine range rather than the company’s Superyacht Range or Custom Projects division. That distinction makes the partnership directly relevant to the sub-24m yacht market served by Luxury Yacht Guide.
Totallux brings an established Dutch customer base
Totallux already supplies high-end LED lighting across the marine sector and works with boat builders, installers, dealers and yacht owners. OceanLED is using that local network to improve product availability and technical support rather than relying only on cross-border distribution.
Local support matters for lighting installations
Underwater and exterior lighting systems are straightforward only when specification, power supply, installation and sealing are handled correctly. A knowledgeable local distributor can therefore influence reliability as much as the product itself, particularly for refit projects where existing wiring and hull penetrations may constrain the installation.
The Netherlands remains a strategically important market
The Dutch market combines a large recreational boating base with a dense network of builders and technical suppliers. OceanLED’s appointment of an exclusive leisure-marine distributor is therefore a commercial expansion story, but it also gives owners another local source of advice and aftersales support for increasingly sophisticated lighting systems.
