A 44-foot Nautitech enters the Annapolis comparison

The Multihull Company has confirmed that a new 2026 Nautitech 44 Open Owner's Version will be available at its display during the Annapolis Sailboat Show from October 15 to 18, 2026. The boat will share the broker's principal stand with a Lagoon 38, while a larger Privilège Signature 510 is scheduled to berth close by.

The arrangement is useful for an owner who wants to compare sailing performance and accommodation before choosing a liveaboard catamaran. The Nautitech 44 Open has an established design identity, so the news is the presence of a specific 2026 yacht in Maryland rather than an invented first launch.

The stand is part of a wider Annapolis exhibition that includes sailing monohulls, different multihull sizes and marine-equipment companies. The Multihull Company asks prospective buyers to arrange a viewing if they would like dedicated time aboard the yachts.

The Open design brings the cockpit and saloon together

Nautitech's published data describe an overall length of 13.30 metres and a beam of 7.36 metres, placing the 44 Open well within the under-24-metre luxury-yacht category. The builder's approach combines a large sheltered cockpit with a saloon that opens into it, creating a connected main living area.

Two helm stations towards the aft quarters provide alternative positions for controlling the yacht and observing sail trim. This solution differs from a high flybridge, and visitors should assess visibility when sailing in spray as well as when manoeuvring in a quiet marina.

The exterior circulation and cockpit arrangement aim to preserve movement between the accommodation and open deck space. During an inspection, the position of handrails, access to sail controls and the safety of moving to the foredeck warrant careful consideration.

Owner's Version focuses on private family use

An Owner's Version usually gives greater space and privacy to the principal cabin than a layout optimised for multiple charter guests. On this Nautitech, the manufacturer describes a forward-facing living arrangement with broad sightlines and practical storage, supported by cabin choices suitable for longer trips.

Comfort at anchor is relevant, but buyers should also consider how well the galley can be used in a seaway and whether drawers, refrigeration and electrical panels remain secure and accessible. The appeal of a cruising catamaran often emerges from those everyday details rather than from total floor area alone.

Published tankage includes approximately 500 litres of diesel across two tanks and 600 litres of fresh water. Such figures must be considered alongside the number of people aboard and the availability of water-making or other equipment installed on the exact show yacht.

A suitable platform for offshore use still needs scrutiny

The builder quotes a draft of around 1.44 metres, light displacement near 10.9 tonnes and a standard sail area of about 105 square metres. Twin Volvo Penta D2-30 engines are identified in the published reference specification, although optional equipment can alter the particular vessel's delivered configuration.

Owners should inspect access to saildrives, steering, fuel filters and battery installations before assuming that a large living area makes a boat easy to maintain. Clear documentation of repairs, spare parts and local technical support may be particularly important for a couple planning long passages.

Annapolis offers an opportunity to compare the Nautitech directly with the Lagoon 38 and the Privilège 510, two vessels designed around somewhat different ownership priorities. Buyers may find that perceived simplicity at the helm, quality of cabin ventilation and stowage capacity make a more meaningful difference than headline measurements.
