A smaller Spanish luxury yacht joins the on-water display
Maxim Yachts has a MAX43 Comfort in the published 2026 Barcelona Boat Show fleet list, giving potential owners an opportunity to look beyond drawings and inspect a 13.07-metre luxury motor yacht in the water. The event will take place at Port Vell from 14 to 18 October, with a range of Spanish and international manufacturers alongside one another.
The MAX43 Comfort is aimed at buyers who want generous outdoor living space without moving to a yacht demanding a large crew. Its platform emphasises day cruising, swimming and sheltered relaxation, with enough enclosed accommodation to extend a day trip into an overnight stay.
The show appearance is a distinct event update rather than the first announcement of a new model. Maxim has already published detailed material about the yacht and describes substantial owner choice in finishes and arrangements.
Folding terraces create an enlarged aft deck
The official specification gives a length of 13.07 metres, beam of 3.70 metres and draft of 0.84 metres. These dimensions place the boat squarely in the compact luxury motor-yacht category, yet its arrangement is intended to create the feeling of a larger social platform when stationary.
Fold-down side sections extend the available stern area, bringing guests closer to the water and widening the cockpit when conditions and operating arrangements allow. The machinery and structural supports involved in such a system should be inspected for ease of operation and safe use around passengers.
At the bow, a forward-facing settee joins a U-shaped social area and sunpads, creating additional places for guests to gather away from the main cockpit. Keeping separate seating zones is useful when the yacht is used for families or a group of friends with different preferences.
Customisation continues inside
Below deck, the boat offers space for rest and privacy, including a forward cabin and a dedicated bathroom. Maxim promotes a flexible approach to interior details, inviting owners to select finishes and configurations suited to their own pattern of use.
The builder describes the ability to adapt one area as a relaxation space, a helpful proposition for owners who use the yacht primarily during the day but occasionally want to sleep aboard. The choice between additional entertaining space and fixed sleeping berths is a central question on many boats of this length.
Storage, ventilation and practical access are worth checking more carefully than decorative finishes. A compact yacht that is easy to keep orderly and comfortable for several days may prove more useful than one that presents dramatic photographs but offers little space for ordinary belongings.
Choosing a yacht for Mediterranean day cruising
With its shallow published draft and open-air living spaces, the MAX43 Comfort offers a plausible fit for short Mediterranean passages and weekends at sheltered anchorages. Local regulations, actual water depth and weather conditions will still determine where and when it can be used safely.
Prospective buyers should evaluate fuel capacity, propulsion access, performance at a realistic cruising speed and after-sales service before deciding whether the platform matches their intended use. Individual custom builds can differ materially, so specifications should be confirmed for the exact yacht on show.
