An established French dealership moves into three island markets

Destination Yacht, Marine West's international business, is now representing Fountaine Pajot in Seychelles, Mauritius and Réunion. The agreement marks a geographic change for a Breton marine group with established relationships across several brands rather than the introduction of a completely new catamaran model.

Marine West has operations at four locations in southern Brittany and approximately forty-five employees, according to the industry report. Its brand portfolio includes Jeanneau, Prestige, Fountaine Pajot and Highfield, giving the company experience with different forms of owner-operated boating.

Charter management is part of the planned offer

Alongside new-catamaran sales, Destination Yacht plans to develop charter management in Seychelles and Mauritius, allowing owners to consider making their boats available to paying guests during periods of private non-use. This is an operating proposal, not a guarantee that any particular yacht will generate income.

Prospective owners need details of local permits, management charges, maintenance, insurance, crewing and private-use restrictions before assessing whether such a plan is suitable. Charter use can increase a vessel's operating hours and alter its commercial obligations, even when it remains privately owned.

The model range aligns with LYG's cruising audience

Fountaine Pajot's FP55 is one example of a sailing catamaran inside the 12.00-to-23.99-metre market, combining considerable living space with a footprint intended for extended cruising. These boats may appeal to owners who plan passages between islands rather than remaining based at one marina throughout the year.

The dealer announcement does not establish which individual models will be stocked immediately in every territory, or whether demonstration yachts are present for sea trials. Prospective buyers should seek current specifications, delivery arrangements and local import guidance directly from the representative.

Support after delivery will determine the value of the network

Florian Savinel, a Fountaine Pajot specialist within Marine West, has been assigned responsibility for the Indian Ocean sales operation. The wider challenge extends beyond concluding sales contracts to coordinating handovers, spare parts, warranty work and technical assistance among islands separated by significant sailing distances.

The October industry report confirms the territory and planned management services; the builder's published model information demonstrates the type of sub-24-metre catamaran relevant to this audience. The exact local service infrastructure and terms for each buyer will require confirmation.
