Five new models reshape the Sun Odyssey line
Jeanneau has reorganised the Sun Odyssey family around six sailing yachts spanning roughly 34 to 51 feet. The established Sun Odyssey 349 remains in the line, joined by the new 389, 419, 449, 479 and 519 as the French builder brings a more consistent model progression to one of its core cruising ranges.
The update matters because it gives buyers a clearer step-by-step route through the range rather than a collection of models developed at different points in the product cycle. Jeanneau describes the aim as a complete and coherent offer, with the new generation intended to carry common design thinking across several sizes.
The range now stretches from family cruiser to 51-footer
At the lower end, the 349 continues to provide an entry point for owners moving into a modern cruising yacht. The new 389 then begins the refreshed sequence, followed by the 419 and 449 for buyers wanting more accommodation and cruising capacity without moving immediately into the largest yachts in the family.
The 479 and 519 complete the upper end of the line. Those larger models bring the Sun Odyssey concept into the size bracket where owners increasingly expect extended-cruising comfort, stronger storage provision and layouts capable of supporting longer periods aboard.
A coordinated renewal is more than a single-model launch
Production-yacht builders often update ranges one yacht at a time, which can leave neighbouring models reflecting different generations of design. Jeanneau’s decision to identify five models as new makes this renewal broader in scope and should make direct comparison between sizes easier for buyers and dealers.

The six-yacht structure gives the builder a broad under-16m family covering first-time larger-yacht buyers through to owners seeking a substantial private cruising yacht.
Further model-by-model detail will determine how strongly the new generation separates itself from its predecessors, but the 2026 announcement establishes the commercial framework clearly: one familiar range, five new models and a continuous size ladder from 34 to 51 feet.
