Itama adds a 21.23-metre open yacht to its renewed range

Itama has introduced the 21.23-metre Itama 70, the second model in the brand’s current range renewal programme. The open yacht has a 5.3-metre beam and continues the low-profile styling that has defined Itama while updating the deck plan and onboard systems.

The model was developed by Ferretti Group’s strategic product committee and engineering department. Vallicelli Design created the exterior, while IdeaeItalia was responsible for the interior.

Twin MAN V12s provide two performance packages

Standard propulsion uses twin 1,400hp MAN V12 engines, with preliminary figures of 37 knots maximum speed and 33 knots cruising speed. Owners can instead specify 1,550hp engines, raising those estimates to 39 knots and 35 knots respectively.

The hull profile aligns the gunwale more closely with the sheer line to create additional usable deck area toward the bow. Side windows run along the hull, while the stern platform can accommodate a tender up to approximately 3.25 metres.

Outdoor living remains central to the Itama formula

The cockpit includes a large aft sunpad, U-shaped dining area and wet bar, reinforcing the model’s day-boat and open-cruising character. The layout is intended to keep guests outside for much of the day while still providing the accommodation expected from a yacht above 20 metres.

The Itama 70 follows the first model in the brand’s renewal programme and gives Ferretti Group another high-speed option below its larger superyacht lines. Its reception will show how strongly buyers continue to value traditional open-yacht styling when paired with current interior design and higher-output machinery.
