The US debut brings three systems under one control layer

Humphree’s FLIBS presentation centres on a combined system in which electric fins, gyro stabilization and interceptors work together rather than as isolated products. The company says the architecture is intended to manage different forms of vessel motion across a wider range of speeds and operating conditions.

For owners in the 12-to-24-metre sector, that approach can reduce the compromises involved in choosing one stabilization technology for every situation. Fins, gyros and interceptors each respond differently at anchor, displacement speed and faster planing speeds, so coordinated control can use each component where it is most effective.

The system is aimed at leisure yachts from 35 feet

Humphree states that the complete package is engineered for leisure yachts starting at about 35 feet, which puts much of the luxury-yacht market directly within its intended application range. The FLIBS display therefore targets both production builders and owners considering stabilization during a new build or substantial refit.

Installation decisions remain dependent on hull form, displacement, available machinery space and electrical capacity. Bringing the three technologies into one product family may simplify system planning, but naval architects and installers still need to match component sizing carefully to the individual yacht and its expected operating profile.

Riviera will show the gyro installation on the docks

Humphree says its new integrated gyro will also be displayed with Riviera at Dock 335 during the show. That gives visitors an opportunity to see the technology in the context of a yachtbuilder installation rather than only as stand-alone equipment on an exhibition stand.

Builder integration is particularly relevant for motion-control equipment because space, structure, cooling and service access all influence the final result. A factory installation can also make helm controls and software integration feel more coherent than an aftermarket system added after the yacht has already been delivered.

Fort Lauderdale provides the first major US showcase

The company will exhibit at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Booth 753, during FLIBS. The event brings together builders, equipment suppliers, dealers and owners, making it a useful venue for technologies that depend on both OEM adoption and later retrofit demand.

For Humphree, the American launch follows the system’s European introduction and gives the company a chance to demonstrate how its broader stabilization strategy fits the fast-growing US luxury powerboat market. The next measure of success will be how widely builders adopt the combined package as a factory-engineered option.
