FIM — Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi — is bringing its Regina range to the Genoa International Boat Show from 1 to 6 October 2026. The 440 Regina and 500 Regina provide a direct comparison between two luxury-yacht sizes from the same Italian builder.
The announced Genoa display also includes the smaller 340 Regina and the recently introduced 580 Contessa. The 340 falls outside Luxury Yacht Guide's 12-metre lower limit, while the 580 Contessa's Italian show debut has already been covered separately.
440 Regina offers a compact open-yacht choice
At 13.60 metres overall, the 440 Regina gives owners a more compact example of the builder's open-deck design approach. Its size makes practical matters such as berth access, handling and the relationship between cockpit and accommodation central to a buying decision.
Visitors can inspect the actual deck circulation, boarding arrangements and helm position rather than judge the yacht from a gallery alone. Individual specifications and optional equipment should be confirmed directly with the yard or dealer.
500 Regina extends the same design family
The 500 Regina measures 16.10 metres overall and offers a larger interpretation of the family's outdoor-living concept. The additional length provides a different balance of open space and accommodation while retaining the yard's distinctive design language.
Seeing the 440 and 500 at the same event gives prospective owners a useful point of comparison. It also allows visitors to assess whether extra length addresses the particular way they intend to use a yacht rather than simply increasing its dimensions.
A broader model programme is developing
FIM was established in 2019 at Cividate al Piano in the Bergamo area and now offers both Regina and Contessa ranges. The new 580 Contessa represents an expansion into sport-fly yachts, with a smaller 400 Contessa Coupé planned for spring 2027.
The planned model remains a development project, not a yacht being delivered at Genoa this October. The recently created Luxury Tender Division is also distinct from the two established Regina boats being inspected by private buyers.
Genoa brings the range together
The builder's official event schedule places the 440 Regina and 500 Regina at Piazzale Kennedy during the six-day show. The same listing confirms the 340 Regina and 580 Contessa, making this a broad brand display rather than an announcement of a new 440 or 500 launch.
Buyers should arrange a dedicated appointment if they want to compare the models in detail and discuss configuration. Their appearance is relevant because both are firmly within LYG's 12.00–23.99-metre coverage while serving different ownership priorities.
