Marine equipment in the spotlight
Besenzoni has confirmed its presence at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, putting the Italian equipment specialist in front of builders, designers, dealers and owners during one of the Mediterranean season’s largest in-water shows.
The company’s portfolio spans boarding systems, passerelles, bathing and access ladders, tender-handling equipment, helm seating, table bases and a range of custom movement systems.
Access systems shape everyday use
On luxury yachts below 24 metres, boarding and water access are increasingly treated as part of the yacht’s overall design rather than as secondary hardware. Retractable passerelles, platform movement and integrated ladders can materially affect how cleanly the stern and side decks are arranged.
The same applies to tender and toy handling, where compact mechanisms have to work within limited technical volume while remaining accessible for service.
Customisation is increasingly important
Besenzoni also develops custom solutions under its UNICA programme, covering moving bulwarks, doors, windows, roofs, hatches and other engineered deck elements. These systems are particularly relevant as production and semi-custom yachts adopt more opening terraces and transformable exterior spaces.
For builders, the challenge is to combine movement, safety, weather resistance and visual integration without adding unnecessary complexity.
Cannes remains a key technical meeting point
Although Cannes is best known for yacht premieres, it is also a major meeting place for component manufacturers and shipyards. Equipment decisions made at this stage can influence both new models and future refit packages.
Besenzoni’s 2026 presence therefore reflects the broader role of the show as a marketplace for the systems behind the finished yachts as well as for the yachts themselves.
