Beneteau has introduced the new Gran Turismo 40 to the Great Lakes market with a waterfront event in Milwaukee organised with CenterPointe Marine. The regional debut placed the 12.53-metre express cruiser directly in the environment for which many North American owners will use it.

The official event focused on the GT40’s protected cockpit, social spaces and ability to move between day cruising and weekends aboard. Customers and local boaters were able to inspect the newest generation of Beneteau’s Gran Turismo range on Lake Michigan.

Why this matters in the luxury-yacht market

Regional debuts matter in a market as geographically varied as North America. A boat that works in Mediterranean conditions must also address cooler weather, changing lake conditions and the practical demands of longer freshwater passages.

At 12.53 metres overall, the GT40 sits just above Luxury Yacht Guide’s production-yacht minimum and represents the compact end of the premium express-cruiser category. Its Great Lakes introduction widens the model’s commercial footprint beyond the European launch circuit.

What comes next

Beneteau is continuing to roll out the new Gran Turismo family through dealer and owner events. The Milwaukee debut is an early indication that the company sees inland and freshwater cruising markets as an important part of that expansion.

Luxury Yacht Guide is following this development from official builder information and will update the coverage when further verified specifications, launch details or owner-use information becomes available.
