A sailing catamaran in the mid-13-metre class
Aventura Yachts' 45 sailing catamaran is listed for the Barcelona International Boat Show at Marina Port Vell from 14 to 18 October 2026. The official on-water catalogue gives a length of 13.53 metres and beam of approximately 7.6 metres, well within Luxury Yacht Guide's 12–23.99-metre segment. The appearance is a planned display of an existing model, not an announcement of an unverified world premiere.
Designed with Lasta Design Studios, the Aventura 45 offers a notably wide living platform relative to its length. That is a central part of the sailing-catamaran proposition: buyers accept a broad marina footprint in exchange for separated hull accommodation and a large shared bridge-deck level.
Owner and charter arrangements change the interior
The builder offers configurations ranging from three to six cabins, catering to a family owner who wants more private space as well as a charter operator who prioritises berths. There is a panoramic saloon and a generously specified galley, with the manufacturer citing refrigerated capacity of 585 litres. Buyers should inspect the actual interior plan rather than assume every exhibition vessel has a preferred cabin layout.
A design offering many cabins can feel very different depending on whether the starboard hull is primarily dedicated to an owner or divided into smaller rooms. Guests should consider ventilation, bathroom access, storage and privacy before equating maximum bed count with comfort. The use of the yacht can also affect insurance, registration and commercial equipment requirements.
Sailing, engines and daily operation
Aventura specifies twin 57-horsepower Nanni inboard engines and a sailplan of around 145 square metres in its current model material. The catamaran's hull arrangement is intended to support efficient sailing, but actual speed and handling depend on loading, sea state, sail condition and the helmsman's experience. The maker's layout includes helm access linked to the roof saloon area.
The model has a quoted shallow draft of about 1.10 metres, potentially giving it access to anchorages unavailable to some deeper-keel yachts. That practical advantage should be evaluated against beam constraints, local seabed conditions and windage when docking. A wide sailing catamaran also needs appropriately sized berths and manoeuvring space.
What visitors can learn in Barcelona
The exterior cockpit is designed for group dining, with the yard describing an arrangement for up to twelve people alongside space for relaxed daytime use. It is worth asking how the galley, seating and helm communicate when underway, and whether there are secure handholds along routes guests use frequently.
Visitors should examine the build quality, equipment service access and how the design manages sailing chores with a small crew. Barcelona provides a convenient opportunity to compare the Aventura 45 with other catamarans of a similar length, while final pricing, installed options and availability belong to the builder or authorised exhibitor.
